Pupils and Teachers from Firoda School made a recent pleasant but unexpected visit to the Bord Gáis Theatre in Dublin for the Bord Gáis Student Theatre awards. Our film (see our video section) “The Bracelet” was short listed for the best overall school play and actor Cillian Cooney was short listed for best performer in a leading role. Everyone had a wonderful day at the “Oscar Style” ceremony and while the play did not scoop the coveted title of best play, Cillian, to everyones great delighted was named “Best Actor in a Leading Role”. What a day for Cillian and for the school.
