world book day The children had great fun dressing up as their favourite characters from storybooks on Friday to celebrate World Book Day which took place on Thursday. Every child received a World Book Day token which can be used in any bookshop against the purchase of a book. Competition winners were Holly (Senior Infants), Cara (2nd Class) and Leo (4th Class). 10 On Friday 10th March all pupils and teachers in the school took part in the “10@10 Challenge”. This involved the whole school participating in at least 10 minutes of dance, fun and exercise. Great fun was had by all!

Vegetable Garden


Compost  Miss Kathy Ryan is working with 5th & 6th Class setting up our very own vegetable garden. Kilkenny County Council have very kindly sponsored a compost bin and work is underway to get the garden set up. The pupils have signed up for Sow and Grow and were delighted when we were one of the 500 schools selected to receive free seeds, growing cups and wall charts. Irish Dancing Well Done to Leona O’Neill, Keelin Brennan and Ciara Whelan who recently took part in the Irish Dancing Feis in the Ormonde Hotel on Saturday 11th February. All 3 took home medals and trophies.
