After 25 years of dedicated service to Firoda N.S. Miss Fogarty has decided to “call it a day” and retire. We wish Miss all the best for the future and we hope she has a happy and active retirement. No doubt the golf clubs will be pulled out more often now as Miss has plenty of time to play the courses.

To mark Miss Fogarty’s retirement there was a function in the school on Friday January 15th. at 7.00p.m. The evening commenced with Mass in the school where the ceremony was enhanced by music and singing from 5th.& 6th. classes. After Mass the very large crowd moved to the hall where presentations were made to Miss Fogarty on behalf of the school Board of Management and on behalf of Parents, both present and past. One of the highlights of the evening a “this is your life style ”  introduction of one or two past pupils from each of Miss Fogarty’s junior infants classes over the past 25 years.. The Dowling Family provided Traditional Irish Music for the occasion and of course the evening was finished off with quite a long cup of tea where everybody enjoyed meeting up and having a chat.
